Reporting Child Abuse

To report suspected child abuse or neglect, anyone, including children, can call 855-444-3911. The Child Protection Law mandates certain professionals to report such cases.

Suspected cases are typically assigned for investigation, rejected, or transferred to another agency like law enforcement or the Bureau of Child and Adult Licensing. For investigation assignment, reports must meet three criteria: the alleged victim is under 18, the alleged perpetrator is a responsible party for the child, and the allegations align with child abuse and neglect definitions in the Child Protection Law.
